The Science and Technology Entry Program (STEP) recently hosted an engaging Pop-Event, offering middle school students a dynamic array of activities to explore. From hands-on coding sessions to immersive DJ workshops, participants delved into various areas of science and technology. The event fostered an environment of curiosity and creativity, empowering students to discover new interests and develop valuable skills. Through interactive learning experiences, STEP aimed to inspire the next generation of innovators and problem solvers, equipping them with the tools they need to thrive in an ever-evolving world
Welcome Reception
Presenter: Mikka Gay 
The welcome reception at Bronx Community School was led by presenter Mikka, who warmly greeted the incoming students and provided valuable information about the college. Mikka introduced the students to the various departments, college resources, and facilities available to them.

Paper Circuit – Instructor Edwin Reed-Sanchez
Instructor: Edwin 
Instructor Edwin adeptly teaches paper circuits on cartridge paper, merging electronics with creativity. With meticulous instruction, he guides students in embedding conductive materials onto the surface, culminating in the illumination of lights.

In the Dj section student were taught the different parts of the dj controller andhow to do a transition from one song to another. After this they were given the chance to do song transistions.

In the science experiment corner, instructor Aryanna conducted hands-on activities giving students the opportunity to observe and explore.
Drone – Andy
Andy, a seasoned drone pilot, imparts his expertise to eager students with enthusiasm and precision. Through hands-on demonstrations and thorough explanations, he teaches the intricacies of the drone operations.
